Connecticut Preschool Assessment Framework-describes different ways in which a child's can be tracked and recorded.

Kindergarten teachers are reporting the most important skills for school readiness are those in the Personal and Social Development domain. Our program teaches all domains using pro-social teaching strategies so that children are prepared academically and socially.  Rather than disciplining when children make mistaken choices, Stepping Stones identifies the cause of the behavior and teaches students alternate and acceptable strategies to deal with their daily frustrations.

Infant & Toddler

The Infant and Toddler curriculum programs are based on Focused Portfolios. Stepping Stones has been combining staff experience with Focused Portfolios to generate a program that will seamlessly flow into the Connecticut Preschool Framework.

Assessment Records

Stepping Stones uses the Groton Public Schools School Readiness Transition Reporting Tool. This form is based off of State Curriculum Standards and therefore beneficial to all children.
